HEALTH + SAFETY
Health, safety, and security, are top priorities for you, and they are for us, too! At the Academy, we hold very high standards for both the safety and cleanliness of our Academy to protect our people and their families. Learn more below about our health and safety standards.
EXISTING STANDARDS
We follow stringent health and safety protocols, including:
Extensive health & safety training for all staff, including first aid, CPR, and pandemic-response protocols
Lower classroom ratios than required by the state
Secure building access to authorized families and staff
Background checks for all staff
Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys / surfaces
Frequent handwashing by children and staff, which is embedded in our curriculum and daily staff protocols
Wellness assessments - we increase this during flu season
Frequent laundering throughout the day
Safe School Plan that we regularly test and train so our people are ready
COVID-19 INFORMATION
We share your concerns about COVID-19 and the Delta variant. As we continue to monitor ongoing developments, please know that nothing will compromise our commitment to take care of our families and the little ones you trust us to protect. We are up-to-date with the latest state and local guidelines, licensing requirements, and CDC guidelines regarding the safety and well-being of your child.
We have developed a plan with guidance from the Colorado Public Health Department to help our families and staff remain safe during this evolving health crisis. Aside from a rigorous cleaning and sanitizing effort throughout the day, enhanced procedures above normal health and safety protocols may include the following to protect our families and staff:
Restricting classroom and building access
Health Screenings
Facial coverings for teachers and parents at drop-off/pick-up including children ages 2+ (per Jefferson County PHO)
Temperature / wellness checks for children and staff
Touchless check-in
Increased frequency of hand washing
Increased sanitation of frequently touched surfaces and toys
Social distancing
