LEAD TEACHER

A lead teacher is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children. They will assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis, implement curriculum, conduct student evaluations, and maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence. Lead teachers provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
 

Requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet education requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.

  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program.

  • ​Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.

  • Two-year degree in early childhood or related field (preferred)

  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

ASSISTANT TEACHER

An Assistant Teacher is responsible for supporting the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children. They will assist Lead Teachers in assessing each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis, implement curriculum, support student evaluations, and maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence. Assistant teachers provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
